Hi
I must confess that I didn't think of that method. Although I was always under the impression that you could only make sim link's to files, not folders. But thanks for the correction, I will try it. But what about other machines, where the files don't exist on the same path?

Or better yet build a sim link to do this/ I know I outlined steps on how to do this on the the tech chat list. but basically do this.

in terminal type

ln -s path to folder, or paste it in after copying the folder to the clipboard from the finder.

Hi Lyn,
I뭢 not sure I follow you. :) As far as I뭢 aware only items in the DropBox folder or subfolders of same will be synced. It isn뭪 a general cross-device sync service. Can뭪 you just put what you want someplace beneath the master folder?
Best,
Zack.

Hello everybody

Is there a way to synchronise files which live outside of your DropBox master folder so that they appear on other devices?

Thank you.

Lynne
