Hi Chris and John, I think John is looking for a more advanced level of chess playing. My suggestion would be to contact the people at Shredder Chess. That's certainly among the top chess programs for iOS, and it's also one of the programs that was made accessible to VoiceOver users through developer response to user requests. The have chess programs for the Mac, so they might be able to make these accessible to VoiceOver.
Here's their product web page for Mac software: • Shredder Computer Chess Macintosh products: http://www.shredderchess.com/chess-software/macintosh.html HTH.
