Andy, Have you made sure to put the bar back into discover/paring mode? Remember, if it's already connected to the IPod, or even just so much as thinks it's supposed to connect to it, then it probably won't let you pare it to anything else.
Figure out how to put it in discover/connect/paring mode, then see if your mac sees it.
