Hello Gordon and Others, As far as I know, this project has not been under active development for some time, but I know people continued to use it under Snow Leopard and Lion, so it's possible if you have an older machine you can dedicate for this purpose. You may remember that Greg Kearney worked on it extensively when he was still in the U.S. and working for the Wyoming Medical Center. Insofar as this did not impact his computer support duties, his employers encouraged and supported his efforts and interests in accessibility. I don't think he has the same sort of resources or time since moving and taking up his position at the Guide Dogs of Western Australia. Most of the web pages for projects that he was involved with have been moved to the Curtin University site: http://www.cucat.org/projects.php
The most recent document I've seen describing the use of this program is a post by Keith Reedy on his macvoiceover list earlier this year. Here is the archived post, dated from March 2013: • [macvoiceover] Creating Braille on your Mac and Louis URL: http://www.freelists.org/post/macvoiceover/Creating-braille-on-your-mac-and-Louis-Url The current web URL for Louis is at the Curtin University web site: http://www.cucat.org/projects/louis/ For anything else, I think you'd have to get in contact with Greg directly.
