Hi Amin,

You can use TextMate. I believe it has a plugin that allows you to edit files 
straight from an FTP. You can then install an FTP server on your Unix server 
and edit them in real-time.

Please go to the TextMate website and download the Alpha 2.0 version (which is 
free). It is compatible with VoiceOver, as well.

On a side note, why don’t you download the xCode command-line tools and compile 
the C code locally?
