Actually, This app was found in the app store as Amazon Prime, but it
installed as Instant Video.
So I think you have the same app.

Hello Glenn,

I’m unable to locate a specific Amazon Prime App in the US App store. Would
you mind providing a link to this App? With regard to the App closing when
you try to watch a video, can you list the troubleshooting steps you’ve
tried so far, e.g. closing all running apps, deleting and reinstalling the
offending app, cycling power on the device, etc.

Also, if you are trying to watch Amazon Videos, you might want to take a
look at the Amazon Instant Video App if it is available in your country’s
App store. I’ll paste a US App Store link at the bottom of this email. I’ve
found the current version of the Amazon Instant VIdeo App to be mostly VO
accessible on my iPhone 5S running IOS 7.0.4. If you decide to give this App
a try, here are some tips pasted from my Applevis entry for this App.

Begin pasted text:
Here is my overview of this App from login to finding content to watching a
video. Note that I am an Amazon Prime member and if you are not, your
experience may differ.

Initial launch of the app presents a VO accessible login screen for the
User's Amazon credentials.
The first successful login leads to an inaccessible page of advertising but
a simple one finger double-tap will make this page go away and land you on
the Home screen. The Home screen consists of a few decently labeled items
across the top, four properly labeled buttons along the bottom, and a large
central portion of the screen which is populated by an animated list of
inaccessible video titles. Annoyingly, this animated list keeps VO
chattering, “Video one of four, VIdeo two of four, etc,” while the VO User
attempts to navigate away from the Home screen. FOrtunately, activating any
of the four buttons along the bottom of the screen or the Browse or search
buttons in the top of the screen moves focus away from the animated section
and gets VO back to normal.

The 4 buttons along the bottom of the screen are, from left to right: Home,
Watch List, Library, and Settings.

The Home button returns the User to the initial Home screen described above.

The Watch List button presents VO accessible thumbnails of any movies or TV
shows in the User’s watch list. There are buttons along the top of the
screen to toggle the results list between movies and TV shows.
Double-tapping a thumnail opens the detail page for the item. Most of the
information on the detail page seems VO accessible, including the buttons to
play, download, resume, watch trailer, and add/remove from watch list. There
are some reviews and IMDB links that seem to be rendered as images and are
not VO accessible.
During video playback the controls can be accessed by performing a one
finger double-tap on the screen. The controls temporarily pop up along the
bottom edge of the screen and can be found by swiping or moving a finger
around the screen. An airplay button is included in the list of controls.

The Video Library button presents a list of digital videos the User has
purchased from Amazon.

The Settings button has five subheadings:
1. About. This is VO accessible and provides the version number and other
bits of info about the app.
2. Legal Notices. (On my system, VO incorrectly reads this item as “My
Account.”) This provides a VO accessible page of legal info.
3. Provide Feedback. This presents a standard new mail item with a
pre-filled framework allowing the User to provide feedback directly to
Amazon.
4. Contact Support. Like the feedback button above, this opens a new mail
item with the To and From fields ready and prompts the User to describe the
problem they are having.
5. My Account. This lists the iDevice name and the name of the registered
User and provides a logout button.

The buttons along the top edge of the screen change to meet the requirements
of whatever task the User is performing. In the Home screen, the top buttons
are Browse and Search. Double-tapping the Browse button pulls down a list of
categories arranged vertically down the center of the screen when held in
portrait mode. This category list is VO accessible and double-tapping some
of them will present sub-categories, and eventually a VO accessible list of
video titles will show and the User can interact as described in the “Watch
List” section above.
Tapping the Search button presents a VO accessible search bar near the top
of the screen. The list of search results is also accessible and the User
can interact with the items as mentioned.
