I'm late in on this thread again, I see where you're coming from here and I haven't noticed this problem at all since I've been using Google Chrome.
I find a lot of "Finder Busy" issues are solved by a good repair of the disk permissions, do that with Disk Utility though perhaps to ensure its done properly, boot the Mac in recovery mode and do the repair job from there.
