Hi,

I can do as you've described on my yahoo account, but my gmail account behaves
the same way that Bill described.

Why is this so and what can be done to change that?

Thanks,

 Hi Bill,
You should be able to swipe down with one finger on the
 e-mail. The
first option will be Move, and then if you do the same
 again, it
 should be delete or archive.
Alternatively, you can do a single finger flick up and you
 should hear
 delete/archive straight away.
 Hope this helps!
 Lewis.
