Hello, no problem! When I plug in my external hard drive, and go to the desktop, pressing G does not say the words general volume which is what I would expect. Also, when I do eventually get into the hard drive, and find a folder of books, pressing the letter L, does not jump me to a title four example starting with that letter. I can then not copy a title with a copy command, it is like the keyboard is not working! The focus in the Find of these days, just seems very erratic. Not sure if I should reset preferences or something, but I do need to find a solution, it's driving me mad! I'm running Mac OS X 10.9.2, and a MacBook Air mid 2011. Many thanks to all, William
