Hi everyone. Sorry this is a bit late, but I’ve been going through my email and deleting unwanted messages to try and find the root cause of a rather odd problem. But here is a tip I found yesterday on AppleVis, which can help with email verbosity. Apologies in advance if this is a duplicate post. But you can actually control how much of the message is read when just arrowing to it or going through email for the first time or whatever. To do this, bring up the View menu by going to mail Preferences with Command-Comma, and then tab to the View menu. I had to turn Quicknav on in order to find the exact setting, but it is called List Preview. You will find a pop-up menu which lets you control the number of lines read after announcing the message.
