What part does not work?
Does the audio work without a headphone?
I would try bluetooth until it dries out.
In this humid weather, it may take a while to dry out.
If it does not get too warm, they could put it in a food dehydrator.

Subject: iPhone has water in the headphone jack

My daughter’s friend got water in the earphone jack in her iPhone 5S. They
cleaned it out with a Q tip but the phone shows the earbuds still plugged
in. They also shot conpressed air into the phone. They googled all kinds
of things to try but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions?
