OK,
I found a solution. I went to the VO utility under speech and then to
pronunciation. I added [Mac-access]: in the text edit area and then tabbed over
to the substitution area and pressed space bar. I chose mail as the app and
now that repeated text is ignored. I had trouble doing this as I found only
tabbing back and forth in the table works otherwise your text and the
substitution end up in the same edit field.
I plan to add more text like this and quiet down my mail!
