I have one of the original Apple TVs with voiceover. I have a problem. It is connected via HDMI to our large TV. It works fine through the TV speakers.when we switch to the digital optical out on the TV where a sound bar is connected, voiceover becomes very choppy, to the point where it is really not usable. The regular sound output via the AppleTV movies, etc., is wonderful through the sound bar. It is not the least bit choppy. So I wonder what the problem is.previously, I had this Apple TV hooked up to an 8V receiver. And I had the same problem, with the optical digital out from the AppleTV into the AV receiver resulting in choppy output. Once again, if I used just HDMI through the TV speakers it was great. Except that the TV sound is very awful. I want to use my sound bar and I want to have clear voiceover.is this just a problem with my Apple TV? Or is there some issue where Apple TVs will not play nice if there is digital optical cable involved and voiceover? Or should I just get the newer version of the Apple TV? I would hate to buy a new one, and be stuck with it and have it have the same problem. Mary
