hey all,
i'm trying to edit some old tape files witch i downloaded and i have come
across a problem witch even google can not help me with.
some of the tape files have parts that are super loud and i want to drop the
volume. i don't want to have to go through the file to find each individual
part. Is there an effect I can use to turn the loud parts down? Could normalise
achieve this effect?
i didn't have much luck with it last time.

any help would be fantastic.
thanks

Michael
