Ah yep, I'd forgotten about that, the Text Messaging feature is on
though I've not been asked to enter a pass code so I'll have another
play, perhaps I need to reset it some how.

Did you enable forwarding under messages in ios? If not this would be why.
After you turn that on, you enter a pin shown on your mac in to the phone and
you can then receive texts under the phone and computer.

Hi!
I traded down from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 5S, the 6 was a little too big for
me and I much prefer the size of the 5s.
Anyway I’ve noticed that the Messaging doesn’t seem to work in exactly the same
way as it did with the 6 and my Mac, now it seems I can only send and receive
eMessages from my Mac, text Messages won’t work with the iPhone 5S and the Mac,
is this to be expected? I know that with the iPhone 5S and IOS 8 that some
functionality is lost over IOS 8 and the iPhone 6.
