For $600 CD I'd rather get a 20GB MP3 player that supports 4.1 surround sound and EAX, not to mention analog recording, wma wav and sdmi. Sure it's about as compatible with itunes as your average MP3 player, also a little bigger, heavier and through USB slow to exchange files with iTunes... However, the advantages of the Creative Nomad 20Gb far outweigh the few advantages iPod gives you. Hopefully enough people out there want a tiny, fast, rechargeable, firewire mac-only solution to prevent this from turning into another Cube.
