Same goes for a lot of other things. I say I have a Honda Accord, and then you have to say which letters follow after it, and then which year it was, and then whether or not it has a sunroof. There are a few benefits to this kind of vague product naming... When I see an ad for an iMac in June, I might remember the marketing message a few months later when I'm really looking at a newer iMac model. Maybe they can do something like use year numbers or something else like that? How about a 2001 iMac. You might see two different iMacs in a year so that doesn't always solve the problem. Maybe 2001 iMac rev B? I don't know if past naming conventions from Apple have been all that great either. The 4400, 6500, 5200, 5360, 7100, 7600, 8100 and 9500 aren't great names. You might think that the 5200 was better or newer than the 4400, based on lessons we're taught in other marketing. ------------- Jason Tessier Administrator [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the MacSwapShop @ http://www.macswapshop.com -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
