You could also use "encrypted" html.  I wrote an AppleScript that can 
take the html and turn it into a random jumble of both ASCII code, and 
hex representations.  The web browsers parse this fine but the spiders 
do not.  The random jumble is often more impenetrable than the 
javascript since it is actually harder for a smart spider to extract.
