I started seeing these reports the day after Safari was released and
all the reports refer to postings in various forums (not my first
choice for accurate information. Its seems no one has had it happen
just heard about it happening to someone else. Personally I've been
control and option clicking links for downloads on both my systems with
no problems at all. Of coarse I just had start up up classic just to be
sure, but it was fine.
I'm starting to think this whole this is a tempest in a teapot, I'll be
happy to eat crow if my system does blow up.

Take precautions as you all see fit, I'm going to continue on the wild
side. My backup is up to date.

Your milage may vary.
