Depends on whether you think it's worth the money, they can make decent file servers but, because they most likely have revision 1 motherboards, they might not be able to use large hard drives or even 2 hard drives at once. Also, they can really only run OS 9 or Jaguar; Panther will not run on them (unless you find a hack) because they require built-in USB.
I'm currently looking for a good B&W G3 to use as a server because it can run Panther Server.
