It has finally happened!<g> My massive supply of inkjet cartridge for both my Epson 760 and latterly Epson C60 are slowly drying up, literally. I purchased the 760 years go, the C60 inb 2001 as a back up printer and both have done yeoman service.
I had imported ink cartridges from one or two low-price US suppliers (Canadian prices weren't low) some years ago. These suppliers are no more. The prices incidentally worked out after duty taxes and shipping were added to about C$8.00 for colour and C$5.00 for black ink. The last black cartridge is in the C60 now (it is used for colour print proofs) and thought, perhaps it is time to replace both, the last colour cartridge is still in the machine. Couldn't find a brand name colour cartridge at Business Depot, that was less than C$30.00! Their black cartridge under their own name are C$28.00! Yikes! Ironcially it may be cheaper to simply replace the printer each time, given the Epson C64 is C$89.00, about the same as two cartridges. So... am thinking of colour laser... Any thoughts as to which is better or worse? After sales service, availability of cartridges etc? And I am not looking for high volume, rather reliability... How does colour laser look, say on photo paper? Just printing "those" images infrequently, more for show around rather than commercial use. Bryce Lee Burlington,Ontario Canada eh?
