There is a certain cost of doing business involved with eBay and PayPal, especially when a credit card is accepted. Many eBay sellers(mostly merchants) won't accept PayPal credit card transactions. I've not noticed that the cost is overly exorbidant. There is also a cost in currency conversion, I believe.
Hyperwallet (a secure money transfer through your bank or credit union) would be be good if more people were familiar with it.
I have both and also accept money orders. Buyers are are about 50% paypal. 30% money order 20% local cash (which is an excellent way to go if possible. Try to emphasise the lack of shipping costs to local bidders in your ad).
If you're selling mac equipment, also try the ehmac.ca trading post.
Good luck,
Ken

I am thinking about selling a few items on ebay.ca, using Paypal, which seems like a popular way to go. The items will perhaps cost less than $100. I've read through Paypal info, but am still not sure about a few things. Does Paypal receive a percentage of my revenue? My status is unverified. For me to receive money from a buyer, do I give Paypal account information?
