It seems to work, but read the fine print before installing
Guess you'll just have to read the fine print to find out :-)
That sounds like there isn't any fine print to worry about.
Or maybe the exact opposite
For an "Information System Specialist" your reply doesn't give a
lot of info! LOL :)
Not my place to make decisions for you, lots of info, and fine
print available on the Skype web site
I don't believe that anyone has asked you to make a decision on their
behalf.
Rather they may have inferred from your previous comments that you
had knowledge or a formed opinion on there being something perhaps
alarming in Skype's user agreement and requested that you share your
knowledge or the basis of your opinion.
Skype is great, they've just added video and free (or cheap)
mobile capability too. Follow this to some more info: http://
www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/6627.cfm
and this one too : http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/6482.cfm
tom's networking site has some info too :
http://www.tomsnetworking.com/Sections-article123-page1.php
compares vonage to skype. They're getting 150,000 downloads a day
so if there was a problem with 'fine print' I'd assume that the
problems would be more evident than they are now.
Maybe for starters you should read the info available on the Skype
web site, there is lots there and these are the same people who
brought the Windel world Kazaa, and we all know how that turned out.
Caveat Emptor
Always!
But in my case buyer beware might not apply as I use the free version.
:)
