You saved me!
In fact, I did it once, but I dragged the finder to the desktop.
Which did not work, but I was under the impression it was because of
X. Then I realize that, since my disk is partition, I had to put the
finder icon on the main directory of the OS 9 partition, instead of
what, a copy of the finder was
made, not a remove and put it back.
I wanted a OS 9 bootable CD, because I read it could be done from OS
9. It left me under the impression that only OS 9 can bless an OS 9 HD.
Now it is booting OS 9 and OS X (Jaguar).
What I did not understand is that, even if the OS 9 was not bootabled
(blessed as you said) it appear in my startup disk preferences...
Anyway, now it is working.
Thanks again!

but just moving them from the CD to
the HD does not make it bootable.
Anyone can provide a way to make OS 9 bootable again?
You might try 'blessing the system' -- I've had the best luck
opening the
system folder and dragging the System file out to the desktop and then
closing the system folder, re-opening the folder and then replacing
the
System file. You 'should' be able to do this while in X. To verify the
blessing took effect, go to the Startup Disk preference to see if
OS 9 is
an option.
