Thanks for the link to the discussion. I had a quick read and it seems to be exactly what I need !

I have called Apple about their tigermediaexchangev2.pdf on their site.

Although the pdf says by July 9th 2005, it has been extended. My only choice is to send them the Tiger install DVD.

I feel they should provide CDs as well, especially with the "family pack". They disagree.

So for $9.95 USD and my install DVD they will send me CDs.

I think I'll try the HD swap idea first. If it doesn't work, I'll try other ideas in the discussion to see if I can get an install to work.

Thanks for the ideas...

Stan

I had the Apple page for this bookmarked at one time but lost it. I think it's only $10US not that that helps much but perhaps this discussion would:

Tiger is running reliably and passably fast on a friend's iMac dv450 with 360mb

I've already sprung for the "family edition" of Tiger (to be strictly legal) so I really don't want to spend any more...
I didn't realize you could buy it on CDs.

A stupid procedure you have to go through, if the option even still exists - send in your DVD with receipt, pay Apple $20.00usd and they would send the CD set often a few weeks later. Now you're out your DVD install!!! :(
