Eric,

You can use any 'standard' PC 100/133 1.2±" DIMMS in your G3, and if it's the DeskTop Beige G3, they MUST be double sided for the G3 to recognize all the memory with the larger DIMMs.

If they are a bit too tall, just use some aviation type snips and cut away the metal grill over the fan, but the later 'standard' height PC 100/133 DIMMs WILL fit. The 'low-profile' chips (usually more expensive) and 1.15±" I believe won't need the use of the aviation snips. ;)

I have a 256 MB double-sided DIMM low-latency, guaranteed to work in a G3 DT that I *might* be forced to part with at the right price, but the price would not be cheap. ;)

Have a look at http://www.memoryx.net/powg3beig.html for what's available - you might be pleasantly surprised with some of the low-end memory prices.

I have two full height Kingston PC100 SDRAM memory modules:
1. 128 MB (KTM1136/128)
2. 64 MB (KTM1136/64)

I am looking to trade these DIMMs for a low-profile SDRAM for a
PowerMac Beige G3:
1. 128 MB;
2. 2x64 MB; or,
3. whatever you dream up + or - $$

My two DIMMs work in all Macs that require PC100 or slower SDRAM (they
work in my Beige G3 DT, except the case can't close because the Beige
G3 DT requires low-profile DIMMs).
