Hi all, in recent weeks I've discovered two neat sites:

1. <http://freecycle.org/display.php?region=Canada> a site for
swapping free stuff

Requirements: items have to be free and may only be picked up (no
mail)... saw it on TV recently (can't remember what news show [a
Toronto channel])

2. <http://toronto.craigslist.org>

Freecycle, at least the one I am in, is so overloaded with junk and/or swamped with offers on anything decent, I find it's pretty much useless. Craigslist however, is a different story. I've only been burned once, that was the Imac with foolproof on it and no working cd (but it was only 50 bucks), in many dealings on it. Turns out MOST people are completely trustworthy. Mac stuff, however, is usually grossly overpriced but there is lots of it on there. Search under electronics too as some folks don't seem to know where to post items. If you are selling stuff you WILL get letters from the overseas complete with offers of money transfers etc. Beware!

Glad to hear you got a mini for a good deal, I haven't seen any decent pricing on them yet.

Best part of craiglist, imo, is 'the best of craigslist' . Lots of great writing and humour there.
