My advice is Door #1. That way, you can get a fast optical burner and a huge
harddrive on the same bus. Partition it into usable chunks install OSX,
using XPostFacto(onto the first partition), OS9(onto the second)and presto
chango!!! A 21st Century Mac. If you wanna go really nuts, visit
<macdoc.com> Scroll down til you get to <fiddler's corner> They have G3
processors there for almost no money. I have done these mods many times and
they work like a charm.
Cheers,
David

Subject: OT: Does Anyone Have a SCSI CD drive and Are There Mac Mailing
Lists in Toronto?

I have a client of mine with a PowerComputing PowerTower Pro 225 (a mac
clone) with a dead SCSI cd burner.

Option one, find a SCSI CD drive and replace.

Option two, use one of the available PCI slots and install an ATA (EIDE)
controller and an ATAPI CD drive.

Option 3, share the CD drive on an old PowerMac 6100 across the network.

Ivan.
