:-)
I just realised, I assumed everyone knew what behaviour I was
expecting from home and end.
Whilst editing text (whether in a text edit box or in the URL bar)...
I expect HOME to take the cursor to the beginning of the line if
pressed without modifier keys, and, if shift is held down for it to
select text to the beginning of the line from the current position of
the cursor.
The same for END, except it takes the cursor to the end of the current line.
Or, am I going senile now that I've hit 30?
(am I maybe expecting too much from Apple... MS Word does work as
expected (for the past 21 years MS Word has used its own text editing
services) so I expect that this snafu is OS-based somehow... it seems
to affect apps that use the OS-provided text editing services)
Eric.
