The 6100 DOS card fits only the 6100, or when removed
from the adapter will fit some Quadras if you use
the 3rd party PC Setup 2.x. IIRC there are one or
two Quadras it will work fine in with Apple's
PC Setup but only with certain System versions.
For your 8100, Reply made a PDS PC card that is most
likely a better performer than the one used in the
6100.
They turn up on eBay fairly cheap now and then.
P.S. The x100 series Macs and clones based on them
should always have a card or terminator in the PDS.
