This has been an interesting exchange.
Still am also interested in viewpoints re worthwhile-ness of the VPC
5 upgrade, and whether or not that would address my problem with
increasing the size of the HD; and if it resolves the problem of
printing to my Epson serial port printer.
Has anyone found a way to resolve that issue of getting black bands
only when printing in VPC 4 to the Epson SC800 if one is using OS 9.1
or 9.2?
