To do MP3 you need an MP3 codec. Plop this +"windows xp" +"mp3 codec" into Yahoo search and you'll find plenty of info. AIFF is typically a Macintosh audio format, similar to the WAV format that first appeared on Windows. Microsoft's own compressed audio format is WMA. WMA encoded audio can also be used in the ASF or WMV file formats. MP3 and MPEG are codecs as well as file formats. AVI, MOV, WMV, ASF are file formats. Those files can contain audio and/or video streams encoded with any of dozens of codecs, including the various types of MPEG. In other words, you can't put DivX encoded video into an MPEG video file or WAV audio data into an MP3, but an AVI file can contain MPEG encoded video and MP3 encoded audio. ===== It WAS total Fandemonium! http://www.fandemonium.org Didn't go?
