If you're happy with SCSI - fast but possible future driver issues should you go to Mac OS X - then external SCSI CDRW drives are VERY cheap on eBay.
Or USB with a PCI USB card - upwards compatible but slow. Works with Mac OS X out-of-the-box with many drives,
I have no experience with PCI Firewire cards with Firewire CDRW drives, but that would be the most 'future-proof'.
I have an inherent suspicion of internal CDRW drives, mainly due to s/w and driver issues. Make sure it works before you buy by googling.
