You should be able to do an unsupported installation on your 7600 since you have a G3 card. That's the low cost route. If you're buying something newer, I suggest skip past the beige G3 -- it apparently will not be supported in 10.3, it has that 8 GB partition issue, it has a slow system bus and slow IDE, it has barely adequate video -- and go for the Blue & White. No partition issues. A very fast video card. Twice the speed in the IDE bus and a 50% faster memory bus. It still has ADB, but also USB. Be sure to get Rev. 2 if you want maximum flexibility, as there were problems with the first rev. of the b&w G3. And you'll be able to run Panther on it. -- Dan Knight, president, Cobweb Publishing, Inc. <http://cobwebpublishing.com> <http://lowendmac.com> <http://digital-views.com> <http://digigraphica.com> <http://lowendpc.com> <http://reformed.net> Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots.
