Do I gather from recent posts it would run on my pb3400? [It is a 240Mhz 603e, 144Mb Ram, 20Gb (yes 20gig) hard disk]. And run useably? Or are we talking very slow?I think we are. On my beige G3/233 with 388mb of RAM OSX is clunky but usable, on a 233mhz iMac it's better but still a little clunky. On a 500mhz iMac with 384mb of RAM it runs fine.
Personally I'd aim for having at least a 500mhz G3 before upgrading, or you're likely to find it too slow compared to OS9.
The speed thing is mostly to do with the interface and how responsive it is, in many ways you have to work in a slighlty different way on OSX, multitasking in the way that the OS does.
Don't do it. You might be able to install it, but thats not the same as being happy using it.
