I wondered about queuing(for the sake of the goody bag & any other
offers) but decided not to. In the end, however, I decided I would come
down to London (from Yorkshire), just for the day, for a number of
reasons: a) a quick visit to Mac Expo, as Mike says; b) I will call
into the Apple Store - I want to able to say "of course, I was there
the day it opened... but it was just the same old same old, really"; c)
a couple of photo exhibitions that I know will never get anywhere the
North; d) a visit to the British Museum to check out one specific
section; and maybe e) a camera shop or two.
I've got a fun-packed day in store tomorrow....

my thoughts exactly. sleeping on the pavement outside a computer store
is a bit retentive.
Its great that apple are opening a shop but its not like their
products aren't easy to get hold of already. It wont be any cheaper to
buy from the store compared to online.. Thats the same reason why i
wont be going to apple expo again. Seeing 100's of stands selling
virtually the same product range of 15+ machines for the same price
looses its appeal - we were at the apple expo last year for an hour
and a half and then went into the west end for 6 hours. far more
exciting that..
