I picked up a IIsi (fully functional) and a Laserjet 3 from Chester College (Liverpool Uni) for nowt 3 years ago. They have clearouts where they give olde machines to students for a "charitable" donation. The college wins all ways. Didn't get there it time to rescue their Quadra 950's which were left out in the rain overnight though...
