I would imagine it's the conversion that's the issue.

Let's suppose that $500 is correct for a US price. This is without local sales tax, of course. Apple seem to use $1 = �1.55 or thereabouts as their standard conversion rate (excluding VAT), so we can expect the sterling price to be in the region of �320 - �330. Then add VAT and we get to �375 or over.

A long way from �260, indeed.

Are you querying $500 in the US, or admitting the possibility of $500, but doubting if it will convert to �260 + VAT over here? Just need to know whether to charge my digital camera and head for Oxford Street!
