It definitely is an issue in 9.2.2 AND 10.3 . .from CD or clean HD. . . but definitely NOT much of an issue in 9.1

Yes, very wierd. Been doing this (macs) since the early eighties and this is the most confused I've been for a long time.

I am convinced there is something in 9.2.2 that has RAM issues. 9.2.2 IS stable with extensions off!


Nice suggestion about getting the Ram replaced. Do you reckon Kingston would, given I got the machine 2nd hand on ebay? I mean , does a lifetime warranty transfer when the machine is sold?
