Hi Walter.
I did some extensive research and Demon and Mailbox came out as best. Mailbox is on top but charge for installation, Demon does not.
I have been with BT for residential and bussiness. DONT go for residential. The people you speak to on the phone when something goes wrong (once a month) are morrons who cant tie their own shoelaces. The business one is very good but cost a lot more.
So far I have been very impressed with Demon, no wait time when I called their support, the guys and girls I spoke to knew exactly what they were talking about and they speak Mac!
As for modems, you would need a ADSL to ethernet modem. They cost a fair bit and for just a few pennies more you get a WiFi, ADSL, 4 port router in one, the D-Link and Netgear ones are very decent.
You would get more for your airport on ebay than a new router from d-link will cost you.
