As you folk are probably aware, Google has for some months been beta testing their new web based email service - GMail. They have been bringing new users in to the beta scheme by referral through batches of invites delivered to the existing subscribers.
Primary advantage is 1 Gb of storage for your mail. There's a spell checker, spam filter, labels and 'actions'. There's no need to delete anything. You can archive whole lists and search the contents and that's my primary use. I still use POP mail for my business and personal mail. Forums, lists go into GMail. I have 50 invites. Previously they've been farming them out to us in batches of 6. Anyone want a GMail account - let me know. -- http://www.m4mac.com Help, Troubleshooting, Coaching for Mac Users 07958 773472 -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
