As a a side bar, I believe the HP comes also with an N suffix for a little extra which allows Ethernet connection. I have a 1200N on our network which is OK but not great and the ink is quite dear for the numbers of sheets you get. You might do better to pick up a reconditioned or second hand HP LaserJet which, if you are lucky, can be better value i use.

The Kyocera FS-1010 printers are very cheap, fairly fast and good for home use. The HP LaserJet 1320 printer is faster though (a bit more expensive). Both have USB and work straight off on the Mac.

What laser printers do you fellow listers recommend for home use? I hope to
network a laser to an airport express Ethernet port (could use the USB 2
port if necessary but have read that the unit cannot be configured or
adjusted this way?) and be able to configure or adjust settings over browser
from anywhere in the house via airport...we already have a decent inkjet for
colour and pictures so this should be something that can handle volume and
low running costs...

Any thoughts or comments greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
