Glad you're sorted out, Russ! When we bought the new G5 iMac, we each cloned from our previous Macs via a FireWire cable. Mine went fine, from a G3 iMac, but my husband's later went a bit awry; it had been from an iBook and some of the settings were indigestible. He had to do a complete reinstall, which was rather a pain. All running smoothly now.
Regards
Susan

Oops! Bit of kernel panic from me there - I've just restarted the iMac DV
