I suspected that - after my initial post, it crossed my mind how unusual it was for a company in Newer's business to survive that long - then I noticed the change in corporate structure ... ... Anyone remember Levco? MacMemory? SuperMAC? And there was another vendor doing RAM boards in the days before SIMMS and the heyday of the 512K Mac ... can't recall the name but I bought their board 3 weeks before they went bankrupt.
