Apple has asked press to come for a special event a day before the NAB which they have not done in the past
<http://www.apple.com/go/nab/register/> so here's hoping we will indeed see some more announcements besides the standard Tiger and HD items we already know about: Software: the obvious one would be Final Cut Pro or Express as well as other audio or video software updates / releases. Hardware: Surely its time for speed bumps to the G5 PowerMac at the least...Will we finally reach the promised 3 GHz? Will the mythical now you see it / now you don't dual core IBM processor be announced? Think Secret has suggested some hardware items but lets hope the news is more exciting... And finally (for me anyway) due to the nature of this event (video editing) where more power or speed in hardware is important will we finally see the G5 PowerBook introduced... Anyone know if there are any live feeds (tickers or otherwise) from press attending the event?
