And I'm jumping in with a query before the floodgates open.

I'm BT Broadband Basic and have a monthly 1G limit.
Last Friday I apparently downloaded 8G!
My usual month usage is 0,6G

Now last September this happened (8G on a Friday- coincidence?)
I assumed some wag had logged on to my unsecure wireless connection (yes, I was dumb!)


After that I changed the routers password, changed the name of the network, stopped SSID being broadcast and told my router the only machine to let on my wireless network was my laptop.

But, now it's happened again. What the heck is going on?
I'm the only person using my system, no other computers in the house can go on line.


I didn't download anything wierd like video files etc.

Any ideas?
