What would be people's current recommendations for an entry-level Postscript laser printer?

The printer I need to replace is on my network and is not physically attached to or controlled by any of the computers in my house - this includes a couple of PCs for work purposes, plus 3 Macs of various vintages (all using OS X, though). Basically I'm using a small Netgear print server which is on the network and which has an IP address which I set using config software on one of the PCs, and has a parallel port which connects to the printer. The various computers blast off a stream of postscript to the server which passes it to the printer, which outputs the document. Because it's Postscript all the computers are able to use a generic Postscript driver, they don't really need to talk to the printer, and it all works fine.

The problem is that the current printer - an Okipage 16n with Postscript add-on card - is now old (10 years +) and the output is very poor (dirty, faint, etc). The only maintenance would be to replace the photo-sensitive drum, which is an expensive job. Better to replace it, I'm thinking. But with what?

Volumes are small - a few hundred pages a month at most - so performance isn't a critical factor in the selection. Indeed, this is well within the capability of an inkjet, but that would need to be connected to a computer which would need to be left on & awake, etc, etc. It's been so convenient just having the printer there on the network, which I think means staying with a Postscript laser.

Recommendations?
