You could try your local Freecycle group. Green monitors soldiered on
for ages, perhaps a purple one could be useful to someone...

Howdo,
I'm having a clear-out at home.
I have a Radius GDM-1950 moniter, 19" CRT beast, which is free to
someone who wants to come and collect it from Clapham North, London.
It does have a fault, though. The green channel was stuck
permanently
on, putting a green cast over the whole picture. I have since turned
the
green channel off on the moniter (turned a pot off) and been using it
that way for the last 8 or 9 months.
perfectly useable, as long as you don't need true colours.
I had it up on ebay at
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?
ViewItem&rd=1&item=5203836706&ssPageName=STRK:MEUS:IT
which has pictures and more descriptions.
If anyone is interested, please email me off-list.
