Thanks Glen!!!! I too have the turboball and I was able to disable
this
'black arrow' feature as you suggested.
By the way, I can only get a max speed of 'medium' with the scrolling
speed
- other speeds will select but will not be saved when I relaunch
MouseWorks.
I have an iMac G3/400 DV. Can you get a higher scrolling speed than
this? I
reinstalled the software too - no different (v5.7, OS 9.2.2).

I have a G4/500 and the speeds seem to work OK, except when I set the
preference for a particular program, i.e. photoshop, when i re-open
mouseworks it has reverted back to its original settings.
But as I don't really need this function I haven't followed it through
as to why.
