Not using an FM transmitter, but have a Dension IceLink. Well, actually we've got two - one model in my wife's car to take her iPod Mini, and a different model in my Mini to my non-Mini iPod...

They work OK, though they can be operationally clumsy. Basically the device is plumbed into the CD autochanger input in the car amp, so you lose multiple CD capability. You do get some degree of ICE unit control, though.

It's not a bad solution. Not cheap, though if you can fit it yourself it'd be a lot cheaper of course.
